Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
COMPREHEnSIVE PROGRAMS & INTENSIVE RETREATS
What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a therapeutic approach that combines the use of ketamine with psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing®, and intentional integration practices to support healing, self-discovery, and lasting change.
Ketamine can help create greater psychological flexibility, reduce habitual patterns of thinking, and provide access to perspectives, emotions, and insights that may be difficult to reach through talk therapy alone. When combined with skilled therapeutic support, these experiences can become powerful catalysts for healing and transformation.
KAP may be beneficial for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, grief, burnout, life transitions, or persistent patterns that have not fully responded to traditional approaches. While ketamine can open the door to new possibilities, meaningful and lasting change occurs through the preparation, integration, and therapeutic work that surrounds the medicine experience.
Why This Approach?
Trauma is not simply a story held in the mind. It is an experience that lives within the body, nervous system, emotions, beliefs, and relationships. For many individuals healing from complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, or chronic stress, insight alone is often not enough to create lasting change.
Healing requires an approach that works with the whole person.
My work integrates evidence-based trauma treatment with somatic, relational, and consciousness-based approaches to support healing at the level of body, mind, and spirit.
How Does KAP Work?
Ketamine supports neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to form new neural pathways and create new patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating. In a therapeutic setting, ketamine can help soften habitual defenses and create greater psychological flexibility, allowing individuals to access emotions, memories, insights, and perspectives that may be difficult to reach through talk therapy alone.
At its core, KAP is not simply about the medicine itself, but about the therapeutic process that surrounds it. Lasting change occurs through thoughtful preparation, a supportive medicine experience, and intentional integration.
The KAP Process Includes:
Preparation
Together, we establish goals, clarify intentions, explore patterns and protective strategies, and develop resources to help you feel grounded, supported, and prepared for the journey ahead.
Dosing Session
Ketamine is self-administered in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment under medical supervision. During the experience, I provide therapeutic support while allowing your process to unfold naturally and at its own pace.
Integration
Following the medicine session, we work together to make meaning of the experience through Somatic Experiencing®, nervous system regulation, and psychotherapy. Integration helps transform insights into embodied change, supporting lasting healing and meaningful shifts in how you relate to yourself, others, and your life.
This Approach INTEGrATES:
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
Supports neuroplasticity and psychological flexibility, creating opportunities for new insights, emotional healing, and transformative change.
Somatic Experiencing®
Helps resolve the physiological effects of stress and trauma by working directly with the nervous system, allowing the body to complete responses that were interrupted or overwhelmed.
Polyvagal-Informed Care
Provides a framework for understanding how your nervous system responds to safety, connection, stress, and threat, helping you develop greater regulation and resilience.
Attachment-Based Therapy
Supports healing relational wounds, strengthening self-trust, and cultivating healthier relationships with yourself and others.
Sound Healing, Nature-Based Practices & Energy Medicine
Complement the therapeutic process by supporting regulation, reflection, connection, and a greater sense of wholeness.
Together, we will determine which approaches
best support your unique goals, needs, and healing INtention.
The medicine opens the door
Integration Creates Change
One of the most exciting aspects of ketamine treatment is its ability to support neuroplasticity—the brain's capacity to form new neural pathways and create new patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. During and after a ketamine session, many individuals experience increased openness, flexibility, insight, and freedom from habitual patterns that may have felt difficult to change.
However, neuroplasticity alone does not create lasting transformation.
A person can have profound insights during a ketamine experience, but if those insights are not integrated into daily life, old patterns often return. The brain may become more flexible, but it is through conscious practice, repetition, and new experiences that lasting change occurs.
This is why we place such a strong emphasis on preparation and integration.
The medicine creates an opportunity. Integration is where the healing happens.
Through Somatic Experiencing®, transpersonal psychotherapy, attachment work, energy medicine, and embodied practices, we work together to translate insights into action, awareness into behavior change, and new possibilities into lived experience.
Rather than relying on repeated medicine sessions alone, the goal is to help you strengthen your capacity to access new patterns of relating, thinking, feeling, and responding long after the effects of the medicine have worn off.
Two Pathways to Healing
Healing is not one-size-fits-all
Some individuals benefit from a structured therapeutic process that unfolds over time, allowing for consistent support, gradual integration, and the opportunity to practice new ways of relating to themselves and others.
Others benefit from stepping away from the demands of everyday life and immersing themselves in a focused healing experience.
Both pathways utilize the same therapeutic approach and commitment to preparation, integration, and nervous system healing. The primary difference is the format through which the work is delivered.

TESTimonIal
“I cannot say enough about my experience working with Amy.
I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking deep trauma healing, nervous system regulation, and a renewed sense of Self.
When I first began working with Amy, I was in a very dark place and felt on the edge of losing everything I cared about.
My nervous system was in chaos -- I could feel stable and hopeful one week, then find myself exploding into anger,
drowning in depression, or spiraling out in anxiety the next. I was skeptical about therapy, but desperately in need of help.
Amy dug in-- really got to know me and worked hard to understand my past, present, and future.
I was able to share all parts of myself with Amy; the light and the dark. In her Somatic/KAP program,
I learned practical and powerful tools to regulate my nervous system, tools I now integrate into my own practice as a clinical psychologist.
During ketamine treatment, Amy was my guide and helped me reconnect with parts of myself
that were lost to trauma. I reclaimed a sense of authority in my life and learned to trust myself most of all.
I am deeply grateful for Amy's skill, presence, and care.”

It depends on your symptoms, goals, and the patterns you are working to change. While some clients achieve their goals within 6–9 months, many individuals healing from complex trauma, attachment wounds, chronic nervous system dysregulation, or long-standing behavioral patterns benefit from a therapeutic container that extends beyond the initial KAP program or retreat.
Lasting change takes time. The nervous system requires consistency, repetition, and corrective experiences for new patterns to become embodied and sustainable. Most clients seeking meaningful and lasting change work with me for approximately 6 months to 1.5 years, although every person's journey is unique.
While symptom reduction is certainly important, our ultimate goal is not simply the absence of symptoms, but helping you cultivate greater connection, meaning, fulfillment, and joy so that you can fully participate in the life you want to live.
